Move a Shopify catalog to CordeliaApps
Export your products from Shopify and import the file as-is — variants, galleries, vendors and stock come across; drafts are skipped; nothing is written until you've seen the plan.
Shopify's product export is the one file most merchants already have. Import it unchanged: CordeliaApps reads both the classic and the newer column names.
Export from Shopify
Shopify admin → Products → Export → All products, CSV for Excel,
Numbers, or other spreadsheet programs. You'll get products_export.csv (or
several, for a large store — import them one at a time).
Import it
The importer detects the format from the file's header row, so leaving the console's picker on Detect from the file (or saying nothing to the assistant) is enough.
Either:
- In the console — Products → Import, set File format to Shopify products export, choose the file. You'll see the plan before anything is written: how many products are created or updated, which categories and brands will be created, which rows are skipped and why.
- Through an AI assistant — attach the file and say "import this Shopify export into <store>". It dry-runs first and shows you the same plan.
Both go through the same importer, with the same rules.

Tags can also become categories — tick the option (or tell the assistant).
What's skipped, and told to you
- Products whose Status isn't active, or that are unpublished.
- Products whose name or description names an alcohol or tobacco product — CordeliaApps doesn't list them. Rename or drop the row.
Every skip is listed with the line number in the plan.
Photos
The export holds links to Shopify's CDN. They keep working while your Shopify store is open. Ask the assistant to re-host the images (or re-import with copy images on) to keep copies in your CordeliaApps store so they don't disappear with the old account.

Not carried over
Collections (beyond Type/Tags), metafields, SEO fields, shipping weights, tax codes, gift cards. Orders and customers are never imported.
