Publish your store

The readiness checklist, submitting for review, and the four states a store can be in on its way to live.

A store isn't visible to shoppers until it's published. Getting there is a checklist and a review.

The four states

text
draft ──submit──► pending ──approve──► published
  ▲ │ │
  └──changes─────────┘ ┌──unpublish
  └────────requested────────────────┘
StateWhat it means
DraftBeing built. Visible only to you.
In reviewSubmitted. Waiting on us.
PublishedLive for every shopper in the app.
Changes requestedSent back, with a reason. Fix it and resubmit.

Only the server moves a store between these, which is why there's no "publish" switch you can flip yourself.

The readiness checklist

Seven checks, shown on your dashboard with a hint for each one that isn't met:

CheckWhy
Store logoYour store's face in discovery.
At least one categoryThe storefront's home and browse tabs are built from these.
At least one productA store with an empty catalog has nothing to sell.
Payments connectedShoppers can't work around not being able to pay.
Store addressA marketplace has to say who is selling and from where. See Store profile.
Support emailShoppers can't work around not being able to reach you. See Support contact.
No banned productsAlcohol and tobacco can't be sold on the platform. See Products.

Preview before publishing

The first three checks are the preview bar. Clear them and your store appears in the shopper app's store list — for you only, signed in with the account that owns it. Nobody else can see or open it.

This is the point of the two tiers. You walk your own half-built store in the real app, on a real phone, before a single shopper can find it — and none of payments, your support email or your address blocks it, so you can reach checkout before wiring money up.

Opening the publish card on your dashboard is what refreshes that preview flag, so if your store isn't showing up in the app, visit the dashboard first.

Before you submit

The checklist is a floor, not a standard. Worth doing:

Walk your storefront in the app

Home, a category, a product, cart, checkout. Look for empty sections and placeholder text.

Place a test order end to end

With test keys. Advance it through the console. Cancel one and confirm the refund.

Check every product has a photo

Filter the Products page and scan the image column. One missing photo in a grid is very visible.

Confirm your delivery areas

Empty means everywhere. If you meant to restrict, check the prefixes are the right length — see Delivery and areas.

Switch to live payment keys

Test keys can't charge anyone. This is the step people forget.

Submitting

Submit for review on the dashboard's publish card. It's enabled once all six checks pass and your store is in draft or changes-requested.

We check that the store is a real, working shop — a coherent catalog, real photography, sane prices, working payments. Reviews are quick; you'll get an outcome rather than silence.

If changes are requested

You'll get a reason on your dashboard saying what to fix. Fix it and submit again — there's no penalty for resubmitting, and no limit on attempts.

Common reasons: placeholder or generated sample content still in the catalog, products with no photos, a logo that's illegible at small sizes, or a catalog that doesn't match what the store says it sells.

Don't submit a store full of generated sample data. It's for exploring the console — publishing it means listing products you don't stock, at prices you didn't set.

After you're live

Editing doesn't unpublish. Products, prices, categories, banners, coupons, delivery, template, language and currency all change on a live store with no re-review.

A store can also be unpublished, which removes it from discovery while keeping everything intact.
