Managing orders
The Orders page day to day — advancing status, the handover code, searching, and what each order record holds.
Orders is the page you'll have open. It's live: a new order appears without a refresh, so the page can sit on a second screen during trading hours.
Working an order
It arrives as Pending
Paid and waiting on you. Open it and check you can fulfil every line — a substitution is a conversation, not a status.
Mark it On the way
Sets it to in-process and notifies the shopper. Do this when you actually start, not when you intend to — the notification says it's moving.
Hand it over
Ask the shopper for their delivery code and check it against the one on the order.
Mark it Delivered
Terminal. It can't be cancelled afterwards, and the shopper can now rate it.
Don't mark orders delivered in a batch at end of day. Each one sends a "delivered" push at the moment you click, and a shopper who got their bag at noon receiving that notification at 9pm reads it as a mistake.
What's on an order
| Items | Name, image, quantity, size and price, as sold. |
| Delivery address | As it was at placement — later edits don't move it. |
| Total | Items − coupon + delivery fee. Each shown separately. |
| Coupon | The code used, and what it took off. |
| Delivery code | The handover OTP. |
| Payment | Which provider, and the payment reference for support lookups. |
| Timeline | Every status change, dated. |
| Rating | The shopper's rating of the delivery, once given. |
The payment reference is what you paste into your Razorpay or Stripe dashboard when you need to trace a charge. The order also records which provider took the money, so you know which dashboard to open.
Finding an order
Search orders matches across the order's details, so a shopper's name, a phone number or an order id all work. Status filters narrow to Pending, On the way, Delivered or Cancelled.
The workflow that matters: filter to Pending each morning. That's your queue.
Order ratings
Once delivered, a shopper can rate the order 1–5 with optional text — how the delivery went, which is a different question from what they thought of a product.
It appears on the order in the console. It's a signal, not something to manage: there's no reply and no moderation, because it isn't public. Product reviews are the public ones — see Product reviews.
A daily rhythm
Morning: clear Pending
Filter to Pending. Accept what you can fulfil, cancel what you can't (which refunds automatically).
Through the day: advance as you go
Mark on the way when you start; delivered at the door.
Evening: check for stragglers
Anything still Pending from this morning is an order the shopper thinks you forgot. Usually they're right.
